R85-942 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PI2k/1WAriEW, TEXAS AUTHORIZING THE A~ARD OF A BID FOR A APCOR POTABLE RADIO, E~G-T~.kW~fRY AND APPROPRIATING THE NECESSARY FUNDS. WHEREAS, the City of Plainview has con~itted itself to providing Advance Life Support to the citizens of Plainview and Hale County; and WHEREAS, an important part of Advance Life Support in monitoring the cardio vascular system; and WHEREAS, a Portable Radio capable of sending ECG-Telemetry is a necessary part of this monitoring: NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY the City Council of the City of Plainview, Texas that the bid in the amount of $6,924.00 frem Motorola for APCOR Portable Radio, ECG-Telemetry is hereby awarded. The bid price is $6,924.00 from Motorola Communications & Electronics, Inc. I had told the council during one of the council meetings it would run around $7,000.00 for each unit. If we are going to purchase this equipment it will need to be put on the council agenda for approval during the meeting of November 26. Estimated delivery time is eight (8) weeks from date of order. Parts, including crystals and channel elements, will be replaced free of charge for the full warranty period but the labor to replace defective parts within the original shipped pro. ducts plus travel~costs for work on non-movable installed equipment will only be provided for One Hundred Twenty (120) days from the date of shipment. After said 120 days, Buyer must pay for ~the labor involved in repairing the product or replacing the parts at the prevailing rates together with any travel or transportation charges to or from the place where warranty service is provided.
