R80-219 00 q A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLAINVIEW, TEXAS DECLARING LOTS FOURTEEN AND FIFTEEN, BLOCK SIXTEEN, McCLELLAND ADDITION SURPLUS REAL PROPERTY; AUTHORIZING THE ADVERTISE- MENT FOR BIDS; AND PROVIDING FOR PAYMENT OF SAID ADVERTISEMENT. WHEREAS, Lots 14 and 15, Block 16, McClelland Addition are located adjacent to the northeast Storm Drainage Project and construction of the Drainage Channel will reduce the likeli-hood of flood waters reaching said lots, thus, potentially increasing their market ability; and WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 65-859 requires the advertisement for sealed bids before conveyance of surplus real property; and WHEREAS, under normal conditions the advertisement for sealed bids is initated by an interested buyer, therefore, the successful bidder should be willing to pay the cost of the advertisement: NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and City Council of the City Of Plainview, Texas to: SECTION 1: Declare a surplus real property, Lots 14 and 15, Block 16 McClelland Addition, Plainview, Texas. SECTION 2: Authorizing the City Manager to advertise for sealed bids upon request of an interested buyer. SECTION 3; Instruct the City Manager to insure payment of the advertisement by the successful bidder. PASSED AND APPVODED-this the 26th day of February, 1980. ATTE ST: WALTER S. DODSON, City Clerk
