Dear' Mr. Wall:
In our letter of October 1, 1979, we outlined the growth presently
underway in Plainview and discussed its impact upon two of our City
streets. We are requesting that 34th street from Spur 445 to Inter-
state 27, and Southwest 3rd street from Farmroad 400, to Interstate
27 be classified .as minor artefi.a!s. Because o£ the importance of these
two street segments to our overall roadway system, we are requesting
that the Federal Aid Urban Systems map of Ptainview be revised to
include these two projects as part of the Federal Aid Urban System.
In addition, we would request that 24th street from Farmroad 400 to
Interstate 27, presently classified as a minor arterial also be
added to the Federal Aid Urban System Plan.
We would request that the work program of our community be planned
with the following priorities: '
1) S4th street Spur 445 to Interstate 27.
2) Southwest 3rd street from Farmroad 400 to Interstate 27.
3) 24th Street from Farmroad 400 to Interstate 27.
We feel that these projects are very important to the continued
growth of our community and any consideration that can be given
will be greatly appreciated. We appreciate your continued interest
and assistance to our community and if at any time we can. be of
service tO you please don't hesitate to call on us.
