RESOLUTION NO. R80-226
RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. R80-207 CALLING AND
SETTING THE REGULAR MUNICIPAL ELECTION FOR THE CITY OF PLAINVIEW,
TEXAS AND PROVIDING FOR THE APPOINTMENT OF A SUBSTITUTE SECOND
ALTERNATE JUDGE FOR PRECINCT NO. 2.
WHEREAS by Resolution NO. RS0_207dated the 12th day of
February, 1980, Herman Bell was appointed second alternate
Judge to act as presiding Judge of Precinct 2 in the event that
Betty Royal and Sallie Damron are for any reason unable to serve
as presiding judge of said Precinct; and
WHEREAS Herman Bell died on the 14th day of March ·
1980, and there is a necessity to appoint a substitute second
alternate judge for Precinct 2.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF PLAINVIEW, TEXAS:
SECTION 3: Said election shall be conducted by the
follo~ng who are hereby appointed to hold said election:
i. Gerald Peters
2. Betty Royal
PRECINCT 1
Gerald Peters, Sara Crader and Tom Baker are hereby ap-
pointed as the election officials of Precinct 1.
Gerald Peters shall act as Presiding Judge of Precinct 1;
Sara Crader is hereby appointed first alternate judge to
act as Presiding Judge of Precinct 1 in the event that Gerald
Peters is for any reason unable to serve as such Presiding
Judge; and
Tom Baker is hereby appointed second alternate judge to
serve as Presiding Judge of Precinct 1 in the event that both
Gerald Peters and Sara Crader are for any reason unable to
serve as such Presiding Judge.
The Presiding Judge of said precinct shall appoint not
less than two clerks and as many additional clerks within the
authorized limit as he deems necessary for proper conduct of
the election.
PRECINCT 2
and Betty Royal, Sallie Damron election officials of Precinct 2.

Betty Royal shall act as Presiding Judge of Precinct 2.
Sallie Damron is hereby appointed first alternate judge
to act as Presiding Judge of Precinct 2 in the event that
Betty Royal is for any reason unable to serve as such Presid-
ing Judge; and Toni Lynch is hereby appointed second
alternate judge to act as Presiding Judge of Precinct 2 in the
event that both Betty Royal and Sallie Damron are for any
reason unable to serve as such Presiding Judge.
The Presiding Judge of said precinct shall appoint not
less than two clerks and as many additional clerks within the
authorized limit as he deems necessary for proper conduct of
the election°
