R80-255 ORDER DECLARING RESULT OF CITY OFFICERS' ELECTION 00 TH£ STATE OF TEXAS COUNTY OF HALE CITY OF PLAINVIEW On this the 13th day of Ma~, 1980, the City Council of the City of Plainview, Texas, convened in Regular session at the regular meeting place thereof with the following members present, to-wit: Carl Tillerson - Place One Andy Taylor Place Two Lloyd Woods Place Three and the following absent: Tom Almon - Place Four Tom Aday - Place Five None constituting a quorum, and amoung other proceedings had, were the following: Alderman Woods intorduced a resolution and ordered and moved its adoption. The motion was seconded by Alderman Aday and the motion carrying with the adoption of the resolution and order prevailed by the following vote, Ayes: 5 Noes: 0 The resolution is as follows: There came on to be considered the returns of a Run-Off election held on the 13th day of May, 1980, for the purpose of elec{ing the Adlerman for Place Two of the City Council of the City of Plainview, Texas, and it appears from said returns, duly and legally made, that there were cast at said election 1,199- votes; and that each of the candidates in said election received the following votes: FOR ALDERMAN PLACE TWO NAME OF CANDIDATE Andy.Tag~lor~ Sr. Paul Butler THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLAINVIEW, TEXAS: TOTAL NUMBER OF VOTES RECEIVED 735 466 That said election was duly called; that notice of said election was given in accordance with law, and that said election was held in accordance with law, and that: O0 1GG Andy Taylor~'Sr. was duly elected Alderman for Place Two (2) on the City Council of the City of Plainview, and that said Andy Taylor, Sr. is hereby declared elected to said office of Alderman for Place Two (2) on the City Council of the City of Plainview, subject to the taking of his Oath of Office and filing bond as provided (if such be required) by the laws of the State of Texas: PASSED, ADOPTED AND APPROVED ATTEST: WALTER S.
