RESOLUTION NO. R80-80-277
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF PLAINViIEW, TEXAS ACCEPTING THE LOWEST AND
BEST BID AND AWARDING A CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT
FOR A PARK SHELTER IN E & E GIVENS PARK IN
CONJUNCTION WITH THE 1978/80 COMMUNITY DEVELOP-
MENT PARK IMPROVEMENT PROJECT.
WHEREAS, there exist a need to construct a Park Shelter in
E & E Givens'Park; and
WHEREAS, funds have been budgeted in the Community Development
Block Grant Program for the development of E & E Givens Park; and
WHEREAS, the bids have been duly advertised,received and tabulated;
and
WHEREAS, the lowest bid using Alternate No. 1 was submitted by
Atchinson, Wolford, White and Prutzman in the amount of $26,403; and
WHEREAS, the low bidder has agreed to reduce his bid to $23,000
in exchange for the exclusion of 360 square feet from the-:structure:
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE Mayor.and :City Council of
the City of Plainview, Texas that the lowest and best bid from Atchinson,
Wolford, White and Prutzman in the amount of $23,000 be accepted and
the contract for th~ construction of the Park;Shelter be awarded to
Atchinson, Wolford, White and Prutzman.
PASSED AND APPROVED this the 10th day of June, 1980.
