HomeMy WebLinkAboutR80-299 CITY OF PLAINVIEW Resolution No. R80-299 O0 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLAINVIEW, TEXAS DECLARING LOT 12, BLOCK 9 AND LOTS 13 & 14, BLOCK 6,DEPOT ADDITION SURPLUS REAL PROPERTY; AUTHORIZING THE APPRAISAL AND THE ADVERTISEMENT FOR SEALED BIDS: AND PROVIDING FOR PAYMENT OF SAID ADVERTISEMENT. WHEREAS, Lot 12, Block 9, Depot Addition fronting on Cedar Street and Lot 13 & 14, Block 6, Depot Addition fronting on Beech Street is owned by the municipality and is not needed for public purpose; and WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 65-859 requires that the property be appraised and advertised for sealed bids before conveyance of surplus real property; and WHEREAS, a request has been made by the purchaser of this property initiating the advertisement for sealed bids, therefore, the successful bidder shall be willing to pay the cost of the advertising: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and City Council of the City of Plainview, Texas to: Section.l: Declare surplus real property, Lot 12, Block 9, Depot Addition and Lots 13 & 14, Block 6, Depot Addition, Plainview, Texas. Section 2: Authorize the City Manager to have said property appraised and to advertise for sealed bids upon request of the interested buyer. Section 3: Instruct the City Manager to insure payment of the advertisement by the successful bidder. PASSED AND APPROVED this the 12th day of August, 1980. ATTE ST: WALTER S. DoDsoN', City Clerk
