A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO REQUEST REIMBURSEMENT FROM
THE STATE OF TEXAS FOR CERTAIN EXPENSES INCURRED IN THE CONSTRUCTION
OF WATER MAIN CROSSINGS, SANITARY SEWER CROSSINGS, PARALLEL WATER
MAINS AND PARALLEL SANITARY SEWER MAINS ACROSS AND ALONG INTERSTATE
HIGHWAY 27; AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO A UTILITY JOINT
USE AGREEMENT ALONG INTERSTATE HIGHWAY 27; AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR
TO EXECUTE QUITCLAIM DEEDS RELINQUISHING ALL RIGHT, TITLE AND INTER-
EST IN AND TO CERTAIN DESIGNATED PARCELS OF REAL ESTATE LOCATED
WITHIN THE HIGHWAY RIGHT-OF-WAY OF INTERSTATE HIGHWAY 27.
WHEREAS, the construction of water main crossings, sanitary
sewer crossings, parallel water mains and parallel sanitary sewer
mains across and along Interstate Highway 27 between Station 1345+00
and Station 1670+00 has been completed by the City of Plainview; and
WHEREAS, the State Department of Highways and Public Transpor-
tation by agreement shall reimburse the City of Plainview, Texas,
the cost incurred in the construction and adjustment of said facilities;
and
WHEREAS, the City of Plainview, Texas, has incurred the expense
of $19,346.60 in the construction and adjustment of said facilities
and desires to make application to the State Department of Highways
and Public Transportation for reimbursement of said expense; and
WHEREAS, the State Department of Highways and Public Transpor-
tation has requested that the City of Plainview, Texas, enter into
a Utility Joint Use Agreement for the utilities located along the
highway iight-of-way of Interstate Highway 27 from Loop 445 S. of
Plainview to Loop 445 N. of Plainview; and
WHEREAS, the State Department of Highways and Public Transpor-
tation has requested that the City of Plainview, Texas, execute
Quitclaim Deeds relinquishing all right, title and interest in and
to certain designated parcels of real estate located within the
highWay right-of-way of Interstate Highway 27 from Station 1345+00
to Station 1670+00.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PLAINVIEW, TEXAS:
SECTION l: The Mayor of the City of Plainview, Texas, is
hereby authorized and directed to submit to the State Department of
Highways. and Public Transportation a request for reimbursement of
$19,346.60, being the expense incurred by the City of Plainview,
Texas, in the construction and adjustment of water main crossings,
sanitary sewer crossings, parallel water mains and parallel sanitary
sewer mains across and along Interstate Highway 27 between Station
1345+00 and Station 1670+00.

SECTION 2: The Mayor of the City of Plainview, Texas, is
hereby authorized and directed to execute the Utility Joint Use
Agreement to be entered into between the State Department of
Highways and Public Transportation and
