A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
DECLARING 'THAT S & M TAXICAB SERVICE HAS FORFEITED
THEIR LICENSE TO OPERATE TAXICABS WITHIN THE
CITY LIMITS OF PLAINVIEW.
WHEREAS, Resolution No. R79-171, adopted on November 13, 1979
granted S & M Taxicab Service a license to operate taxicabs within
the city limits of Plainview, Texas; and
WHEREAS, Section 31-36 of the Code of Ordinances, Plainview,
Texas~specifies that said license is contingent upon the owner
maintaining in full force and affect specified amounts of liability
insurance; and
WHEREAS, the owners of S & M Taxicab Service have allowed
the policies of liability insurance to lapse and do no intend to renew
said insurance; and
WHEREAS, Section 31-20 of the Code of Ordinances, Plainview, Texasj
states that failure of the owner to comply with any of the conditions
and stipulations contained in the license shall effect a forture thereof,
and that the City Council may thereupon declare the license forfeited:
NOW, THEREFORE BE ITRESOLVED by the Mayor and City Council
of the City of Plainview, Texas in accordance with Section 31-20
of the Code of Ordinances, Plainview, Texas, to declare that S & M
Taxicab Service has forfeited their license to operate taxicabs within
the City limits of Plainview, Texas, and said license is null. and void
and of no effect.
PASSED AND APPROVED this the 8th day of December, 1981.
