HIGHWAY - 1-27 BUSINESS LOOP SIGNING
RESOLUTION NO. R89-117
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PLAINVIEW, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO
EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT WITH THE STATE DEPARTMENT
OF HIGHWAYS AND PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION WHICH WILL
PERMIT THE STATE TO RESIGN LOOP 445 IN HALE
COUNTY TO BUSINESS LOOP 1-27.
Whereas, the Plainview Chamber of Commerce has requested that
the State Department of Highways and Public Transportation resign
Loop 445 in Hale County as Business Loop 1-27; and
Whereas, the State Department of Highways and
Transportation has agreed to said resigning in order to
possible confusion and better inform the traveling public;

Whereas, a copy of said Agreement is attached to this
Resolution and made a permanent part of such.
Now, Therefore, Be It Resolved by the City Council of the
City of Plainview, Texas, that the Mayor is hereby authorized to
execute an Agreement with the State Department of Highways and
Public Transportation which will allow said Department to resign
Loop 445 in Hale County to Business Loop 1-27.

PLAIN-VIEW HEREBY AGREE THAT LOOP 445 IN HALE COUNTY, CITY OF PLAINVIEW,
SHOULD BE SIGNED AS BUSINESS LOOP 1-27 IN ORDER TO AVOID POSSIBLE CONFUSION
AND BETTER INFORM THE TRAVELING PUBLIC.
