RESOLUTION NO. R89-144
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PLAINVIEW, TEXAS, APPROVING THE PRELIMINARY PLAT
OF HIGH SCHOOL ADDITION, UNIT NO. 3, PLAINVIEW,
HALE COUNTY, TEXAS.
WHEREAS, Gayle Thompson and Bill Nichols have submitted the
preliminary plat of High School Addition, Unit No. 3, Plainview, Hale
County, Texas, along with appropriate plat fees and necessary
information to the City Engineer of the City of Plainview; and
WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of
Plainview on April 27, 1989, approved the Preliminary Plat of said
High School Addition, Unit No. 3, Plainview, Hale County,
Texas, attached, hereto, subject to the following stipulations:
1. Alley along West edge of Lot 14, should be dedicated the full
length of Lot 14 to intersect the existing alley along the
South edge of Lot 14 and should have a 20 feet cut-off at the
intersection of the alleys.
2. Additional right-of-way should be obtained to complete the
alley to 20 feet width along the West edge of Lot 15.
3. Alley width adjacent to building located at Southwest corner of
Lot 15 may be reduced to 19.5 feet along West edge of building
to prevent encroachment on public right-of-way.
4. In the event additional alley right-of-way along West edge of
Lot 15 cannot be obtained within a reasonable time table so as
to delay final platting procedures relative to Lot 14, the
Final Plat may include Lot 14 only subject to stipulation no. 1
above leaving Lot 15 to be platted at a later date.
WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed said Preliminary Plat and
the recommendations of the Planning and Zoning Commission and find
that said plat revised to include the stipulations recommended by the
Planning and Zoning Commission will comply with the intent of the
Subdivision Regulations of the City of Plainview.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Mayor and City Council of
the City of Plainview, Texas, that the Preliminary Plat of High
School Addition, Plainview, Hale County, Texas, be approved subject
to the stipulations recommended by the Planning and Zoning Commission
and that the Final Plat of said addition incorporate all of said
stipulations.
