A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF PLAINVIEW,
TEXAS, APPROVING THE COMBINATION
PRELIMINARY AND FINAL PLAT OF "PRESSLER
ADDITION, UNIT NO. 2, PLAINVIEW, HALE
COUNTY, TEXAS"
WHEREAS, the First Baptist Church, Plainview, Texas has
submitted the combination Preliminary and Final Plat of "Pressler
Addition, Unit No. 2, Plainview, Hale County, Texas" along with
appropriate plat fees and necessary information to the City Engineer of
the City of Plainview; and
WHERF~AS, the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of
Plalnview on :March 28, 1991 approved the combination preliminary and
Final Plat of "Pressler Addition, Unit No. 2, Plainview, Hale County,
Texas"; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed said combination
Preliminary and Final Plat and the recommendations of the Planning and
Zoning Commission and find that said complies with the intent of the
Subdivision Regulations of the 'City of Plainview.
NOW, THERE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Plainview that the combination Pre!iminary and Final Plat of
"Pressler Addition, Unit No. 2, Plainview, Hale County, Texas" be and
is hereby approved subject to compliance with the Subdivision
Regulations and other ordinances governing the platting and
developing of land within the City of Plainview.
PASSED AND APPROVED this 9th day of July, 1991.

DESCRIPTION
Being a 1.349 acre tract as recorded in Volume ?3?, page 559, of the Hale
County Deed Records out of the J.M. Pressler Homestead Survey, Hale County,
Texas;
BEGINNING at a 3/8 inch steel rod found in the west line of the J.M.
Pressler Homestead Survey, Hale County, Texas, said rod being in the east line
and 2,212.3 feet South of the northeast corner of Survey No. 41, Block JK-2,
(as held on the ground);
Thence South 235 feet along the west line of said homestead survey, the
east line of said Survey No. 41, and the east line of a National Guard Armory
tract as recorded in Volume 154, page 362 of the Hale County Deed Records to a
found 3/8 inch steel rod;
Thence S.89"59'E. 30 feet to a found 3/8 inch steel rod;
Thence South 15 feet to a 3/8 inch steel rod found in the north l~ne of
the Texas Department of Public Safety 1.045 acre tract as recorded in Volume
551, page 87 of the Hale County Deed Records;
Thence S.89"59'E. 178 feet to a 5/8 inch steel rod found for the northeast
corner of said tract, said rod being in the west right of way line of U.S.
Highway No. 87 (Business Route) as recorded in Volume 442, page 335 of the
Hale County Deed Records;
Thence Northeasterly an arc length of 255.75 feet along the west right of
way line of said highway aroQnd a curve to the left having a radius of 2724.7
feet, a central angle of 5"22'41", a tangent of 127.97 feet and a chord
bearing N.12°04'45#E. 255.66 feet to a found 3/8 inch steel rod;
Thence N.89'59'W. 261.5 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING and containing
1.349 acres.
