A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF PLAINVIEW, TEXAS,
ACCEPTING THE BID AND AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR
LANDFr[.L SCREENING BERM AND EXCAVATION OF THE
FIRST PORTION OF A SANITARY LANDFr[.L FOR THE
CITY OF PLAINVIEW, HALE COUNTY, TEXAS.
WHEREAS, the City of Plainview has duly advertised and tabulated bids for
the construction of a sanitary landfill screening berm and excavation; and
WHEREAS, bids were received and opened on March 2, 1992, at 3:00 p.m.,
and publicly tabulated on March 2, 1992; and
WHEREAS, Jordan Paving Corporation, 3925 Carbon Road, Irving, Texas,
75038-3402, submitted the lowest and best bid for said landfill construction.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Plainview, Texas, that a contract in the amount of $1,109,196.96 be and is
hereby awarded to Jordan Paving Corporation, 3925 Carbon Road, Irving,
Texas 75038-3402, said contract to include Section A (Items 1, 2, 3, 4 & 5)
and Section C (Item 7) of the Proposal dated March 2, 1992, and authori~ng
the Mayor to sign the contract on behalf of the City of Plainview.
PASSED AND APPROVED this 10th day of March, 1992.
