Ordinance 96-3075
An Ordinance of the City of Plainview, Texas, Amending Ordinance
95-3056, the 1995-1996 Budget of the City. of Plainview, as such
pertains to the creation of diversity Task Force.
WHEREAS, the Plainview City Council through the adoption of Ordinance 95-3056 adopted
a budget for the 1995-1996 fiScal year; and
WHEREAS, the annual budget serves as a guideline for annual revenues and expenditures; and
WHEREAS, from time to time unanticipated expenditures create a need to amend the budget;
and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and City Council are confident the retention of Dr. Richard Lewis is
important to assist in the City's efforts to create a City wide task force on diversity; and
WHEREAS, the diversity task force will lead the City in addressing important diversity issues;
and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance certifies funds are available to fund the changes made
herein.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED, the following amendments are hereby made to the
1995-1996 budget of the City of Plainview, Texas:
