AN ORDINA{ICE PROVIDING FORA MAXIMUPI SPEED ON A PORTION OF ENNIS STREET IN
THE CITY OF PLALNVIEW, TEXAS, PROVIDIiJG FOR A PENALTY;
''vJhereas, after an engineering and a traffic investigation, the City Council
of the Gity of Plainview, Texas; has determined that it would be in the best
interest of the .public to provide a maximum limit of speed of 35 miles per
hour on a portion of Ennis Street in the City of Plainview, Texas, beginning
at its .intersection. with O1ton Highway south to its intersection with S.W.
3rd Street.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY C0IJNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLAINVIEt~I,
TEXAS:
Section l: It shall be unlawful for any person to operate any automobile,
motorcyc-l e, mo or scooter, or any type of motor vehicle which is self-propelled
at a speed greater than 35 miles per hour on a portion of Ennis Street in the
City of Plainview, Texas, beginning at its intersection with the Olton Highway
south to its intersection.with S.W. 3rd Street..
Section 2: Ali Ordinances or part of any Ordinance of the City of Plainview,
Texas, in conflict herewi h are hereby amended to-conform with the provisions
hereof.
Section 3: Any person who sha17 violate or fail to comply with any of the
provisions of this Ordinance shall be deemed. guilty of an misdemeanor and
upon conviction-shall be punished by a fine of not less than One .Dollar
_. ($1.00) nor more than-Two Hundred Dollars ($200.00).
