Whereas, after an engineering and traffic investigation, the City Council of the City of Plainview, Texas, has determined that it would be in the best interest. of the public to provide a maximum speed limit of 35 miles per hour on a portion of Eleventh Street (11th) in the City of Plainview, Texas. Beginning at its intersection with Date Street west to its inter- section with Ennis Street; thence 30 miles per hour west to its intersection with Jefferson Stree . Section l: It shall be unlawful for any person to operate any automobile, motorcycle, motor scooter, or any-type of motor vehicle which isself- propelled~ at a peed greater than 35 miles per hour on a portion of Eleventh Street (11th) in the City of Plainview, Texas, beginning at its intersection with the west boundary line of Date Street west to its inter- section with Ennis Street; thence 30 miles per hour from Ennis Street west to the intersection of Jefferson Street. Section 2: A11 Ordinances or part of any Ordinance of the City of Plainview, Texas, in conflict with the provisions of this Ordinance are hereby repealed. Section 3: Any person who shall violate or fail to comply with any of the provisions of this Ordinanceshali be .deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction shall be punished by a fine in the. amount of not less than One Dolla ($1.00) nor'more than Two Hundred Dollars ($200.00).
