RESOLUTION NO. R93-107
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PLAINVIEW, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER
TO EXECUTE NECESSARY AGREEMENTS R~.&TED TO GRANT
REQUEST TO THE TEXAS FOREST SERVICE FOR A SM~LL
BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION TREE PLANTING GRANT FOR
A PROJECT TO BE UTILIZED AT KIDSVILLE IN RUNNING
WATER DRAW REGIONAL PARK IN PLAINVIEW, TEXAS,
AND GI¥ING NECESSARY ASSURANCES REGARDING THE LOCAL
COST OF SAID PROJECT.
WHEREAS, Grants are available through the Texas Forest Service from the Small
Business Administration's Tree Planting Grant Program; and
WHEREAS, it is beneficial and in the public interest for the City of Plainview to
execute an application for a Grant to plant trees on public property at Kidsvilie in
Running Water Draw Regional Park.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Plainview,
Texas, authorizes that:
1. The City Manger is hereby authorized to execute an application to the
Texas Forest Service for a Small Business Administration Tree Planting Grant,
a copy of said application being attached hereto as Exhibit "A" and
incorporated herein for all purposes.
2. The Small Business Administration is hereby assured that the local cost
share, as more specifically set outin Exhibit "A" hereto, will be provided by
the City of Plainview.
