A Resolution of the City of pIRi,,view, Texas,
endorsing efforts annexing the City of plAinview
and portions of Hale County into the High p!Rins
Underground Wate~ Conservation District Numb~ One.
WHEREAS, the High Plains Underground Water Consewation District Number One
is an entity dedicated to the protection and conservation of the underground water
in this area; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Plainview, recognizes the underground
water in'the Og_~llala Acquifer as one of the areas most valuable assets; and
WHEREAS, the City Council believes it has a responsibility to Plalnview and Hale
County to plan for an adequate, potable, and affordable water supply for all citizens
for now as well as the future.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Plainview
endorses and encourages the approval of.annexing the City of Plainview and portions
of Hale County into the High plains Underground Water Conservation District
Number One.
