A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THI~ CITY OF
PLAINVIEW, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE SUBMISSION OF
A CONTRACT AMENDMENT REQUEST FOR TttE COMMUNITY
DEVELOPI~ENT FUND CONTRACT BETWEEN TH~. CITY OF
PLAIN~ AND THE TEXAS DEPARTM]~IT OF HOUSING
AND COI~IMUNITY AFFAIRS~. CONTRACT NO. 707180
WHEREAS, the City of Plainview entered into a contract with the Texas Department
of Housing and Community Affairs to make sewer system improvements' and street
improvements; and
WHEREAS, it has become necessary, to install a protected railway crossing to ensure
successful completion of the project; and
WHEREAS, the City of Plainview desires to modify the original project budget and
revise the contract performance statement;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PLAINVIEW, TEXAS:
1. The City Council authorizing a contract amendment request to be submitted
to the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs for the following
proposed activities:
To install a protected railroad crossing at the intersection of
16th Street and Columbia Avenue in order to ensure safe passage
across the railway line.
2. The City Council directs and authorizes the Mayor to execute all necessary
documents as may be required to initiate and process this contract amendment
request.
