A RESOLUTION BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PLAINMIE~, TEXAS ORDERING THE REVIEW OF THE
MUNICIPAL WATER POT.LUTION PREVENTION
ENVIRONMENTAL AUDIT REPORT AND INFORMING
ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AGENCY OF ACTIONS
TAKEN.
YKheress, the City Council of the City of Plainview, Texas, has recognized that the
Environmental Protection Agency'(EPA) Region 6 is ini 'tinting a program to promote
Municipal Water Pollution PreventiOn' (MWPP); and
l~The~ms, this program is designed to encourage municipal wastewater facilities to
provide compliance maintenance prior to becoming noncompliant; and
Whereas, the City has received, from the Environmental Protection Agency, an
Order for Information necessary to implement the program.
Now, thm. efOre, be it z~.$olved by the City Council of the City of Plainview, Texas,
that the following actions were taken and informs EPA of shine:
Section I
The City Council has reviewed the Municipal Water Pollution
Environmental Audit Report which is attached to this Resolution.
Prevention
Section II
The following actions necessary to maintain permit requirements contnined in the
NPDES Permit number TX0047571:
a) Completion of required TRE.
b) Continued proper operation and maintenance of facilities.
c) Implementation of a Water Conservation Plan.
d) Continued encouragement of employees to obtain training
and continued provision of funding for such training.
