A RESOLUTION OF SUPPORT OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF PLAINVIEW, HALE COUNTY, TEXAS AUTHORIZING SUBMISSION
OF A REQUEST TO THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND
COMMUNITY AFFAIRS FOR PARTICIPATION IN THE HOME
INVESTMENT PARTNERSHIPS PROGRAM, MULTIFAMILY
DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM.
WHEREAS, GS Plainview, LP has proposed a development for affordable rental
housing to be located on the northeast corner of Mesa Dr. and 16 St. named
Stonebridge of Plainview in the City of Plainview, Hale County; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Plainview voices its support of the
2012 application by GS Plainview, LP to build an affordable housing development of up
to 80 units in the City of Plainview known as Stonebridge of Plainview; and
WHEREAS, GS Plainview, LP intends to submit a joint application to the Texas
Department of Housing and Community Affairs (TDHCA) for 2012 Housing Tax Credits
and HOME Investment Partnership Program funds for Stonebridge of Plainview; and
WHEREAS, according to Texas Administrative Code §50.9(b)(5), GS Plainview,
LP is not receiving points relating to Commitment of Development funding by the unit of
local government, but the proposed Development is located in an area supported by the
Governing Body of the City of Plainview.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF PLAINVIEW, TEXAS THAT:

The governing body of the City of Plainview hereby approves this Resolution of
support for the Stonebridge of Plainview proposed development site as shown in Exhibit
"A ", attached hereto and incorporated herewith.
This Resolution's public purpose is to encourage and facilitate quality
development of affordable rental housing for the City's benefit as a whole.
