RESOLUTION NO. R13 -281
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLAINVIEW,
TEXAS ACCEPTING THE PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS, INCLUDING BUT
NOT LIMITED TO WATER, SEWER, STREETS, AND ALLEY PAVING
FOR THE WOFFORD SUBDIVISION IN THE CITY OF PLAINVIEW,
HALE COUNTY, TEXAS AND DECLARING THE PUBLIC PURPOSE AS
FURTHERING ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT.
WHEREAS, the Wofford Subdivision was required to complete public
improvements in accordance with the City of Plainview's Subdivision Ordinance at
Chapter 10; and
WHEREAS, the Wofford Subdivision is described in metes and bounds as
follows:
Being a 3.012 acre tract out of the West Half of Survey 27, Block JK -2,
Hale County, Texas:
BEGINNING at a 1" rod found in the West line of Mesa Drive (dedicated
Vol. 727, p. 559, HCDR) and the centerline of 15 Street for the NE corner
of a 5.4 acre tract (Instrument 2007- 002607, OPR), said rod being 122.22
feet N.0 °00'30" E. of an "X" on concrete found for the NE corner of Lot 27,
Mesa Verde Addition, Unit No. 4 (Plat Vol. 839, p. 609, HCDR);
Thence N.0 °00'30 "E., at 30 feet pass a1 "rod found for the NW corner of
said Mesa Drive dedication and the SW corner of another Mesa Drive
Dedication (Instrument 2003 - 005248, OPR), in all, 909.98 feet to a' /2" rod
found for the NW corner of said dedication;
Thence N.89 °06'30 "W. 144.02 feet along the South line of the Canadian
River Municipal Water Authority 66' wide easement (Vol. 419, p. 95 & Vol.
937', p.766) to a set 1/2" rod;
Thence S.0 °00'30 "W. 912.3 feet to a 1 /2" rod set in the North line of said
5.4 acre tract;
Thence N.89 °58'14 "E. 144 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING.
WHEREAS, the above - described subdivision's public improvements were
inspected by the City throughout the development, and such subdivision improvements,
including but not limited to water, sewer, streets, and alley paving, comply with the City
of Plainview Subdivision Ordinance at Chapter 10;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF PLAINVIEW, TEXAS THAT:
SECTION I
The City Council accepts the public improvements for the Wofford Subdivision,
including but not limited to water, sewer, streets, and alley paving, according to the
City's recommendation and belief that such improvements have been inspected and are
in compliance with the City of Plainview's Subdivision Ordinance at Chapter 10.
SECTION II
The City Council further finds that such compliance is in the best interest of the
community with the public purpose of furthering economic development in the City of
Plainview, Texas.
PASSED AND APPROVED this 12 day of February, 2013.
