Landfill Computer Hardware/Software Purchase
ORDINANCE NO. 99-3214
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 98-3186 TO
APPROPRIATE FUNDS IN THE 1998-99 BUDGET FOR THE
PURCHASE OF Y2K COMPLIANT COMPUTER ItARDWARE
AND SOFTWARE.
WHEREAS, on September 28, 1998 through the adoption of Ordinance No. 98-3186 the Plainview
City Council approved the 1998-99 Budget; and
WHEREAS, the Budget is a general guideline for revenue and expenditures and may require periodic
amendments; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined a need for the City to budget funds to purchase
computer hardware and software for the Landfill in order to become Y2K compliant.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF PLAINVIEW HEREBY ORDAINS that the 1998-99 Budget
is amended to appropriate $19,500 to Solid Waste Management Department Fund as follows:

1998-99 Budget Appropriation Amended Budget
-0- $19,500.00 $19,500.00
Provisions of this ordinance are cumulative and nothing herein shall prevent, alter or diminish the
applicability or enforcement of other ordinances restricting, regulating or governing the subject matter
herein.
Section III:
If any section, sentence, clause phrase, or portion of this ordinance is, for any reason, held invalid or
unconstitutional by any court of competent jurisdiction, such portion shall be deemed a separate,
distinct, and independent provision and such holding shall not affect the validity of the remaining
provisions thereof.
Section IV:
All ordinances or portion of any ordinance of the City of Plainview, Texas, in conflict herewith are
hereby amended to conform with the provisions hereof.

Section V:
This ordinance shall be of full force and effect upon its passage.
