HomeMy WebLinkAboutR13-293WHEREAS, in accordance with the statutes of the State of Texas and the
Charter of the City of Plainview, a special election shall be held in and for the City of
Plainview; and
WHEREAS, the special election shall be held on the first Tuesday in November,
2013, the same being November 5, 2013; and
WHEREAS, all persons qualified to vote in said election under the Election Laws
of the State of Texas shall be allowed to vote therein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF PLAINVIEW, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1
Said special election shall have as its Early Voting Ballot Board presiding election
judge, Georgia Wall. On November 5, 2013, the District No. 5 Polling Place Judge will
also be Georgia Wall.
SECTION 2
It is further provided that the hourly rate for presiding election judges shall not
exceed $10.00 per hour, and the hourly rate for Clerks shall not exceed $8.00 per hour.
SECTION 3
A copy of this resolution shall also be served upon the election officials
designated to hold the election.
