Monday, September 23, 1991, 7:30 p.m.
Council Chambers, City Hall, 901 Broadway
The meeting was called to order by chairperson, Lynn Davis.
Other board members attending were Lee Roy Lightfoot, Betty
Gonzales, Randy Ballinger and Brandon Brownlee. City staff
attending were Gene Barton, Chief Building Official and Janice
Anderson, Secretary Community Services.
B. A. CASE NO. 1127:
Request of W. L. Reed for a variance of 19 feet 2 inches to the
required 10 foot side yard setback (Section 34:4) Side Yard
Regulations to allow a.garage 10 inches from the side lot line in
a R-1 (Single-Family Residential District) Zoning District, being
the South 80.16 feet of Lot 9, Block 2, Brock Subdivision and
located at 1101 Canyon.
The case was presented to the board by Gene Barton by showing.
video of the property. The two (2) reply letters were presented
to the board for their review. Both were in favor of the variance
being granted.
Mr. Reed expressed his intention was to enclose an existing
carport for his motorhome.
After a short discussion of the request, Leroy Lightfoot moved,
seconded by Brandon Brownlee to grant the 19 foot 2 inch variance
to the required 20 foot Side Yard setback. Motion carried
unanimously.
Having no further business motion was made and
unanimously to adjourn. Meeting adjourned at 7:45 p.m.
