BOARD MEMBERS PRESENT: Mark Hardin, Kevin Carter and Joe Frank Rodriguez.
STAFF MEMBERS PRESENT: Todd Kennemer and Judy Rasher, Community Service
Secretary.
GUESTS PRESENT: Isidro Najera and Joe Najera of 1212 Independence, Sergio and Maria
Alvarez of 1211 Independence.
Mark Hardin called the meeting to order at 5:59 P. M.
FIRST ITEM ON THE AGENDA: Oath of office to members: Not applicable
SECOND ITEM ON THE AGENDA: Approval of April 1, 2013 minutes. Kevin Carter made
a motion to approve minutes as presented. Joe Frank Rodriguez seconded the motion. Motion
carried unanimously.
THIRD ITEM ON THE AGENDA:
BA Case No. 1626: Consider the request of a special exception to the required minimum twenty -
five (25) foot front set back authorizing the construction of a Carport under the City of Plainview
Zoning Ordinance Section 37.2.2(h) Special Exceptions.
Property Owner: Isidro Najera
Address: 1212 Independence
Legal Description: Lot 15, Block 34 of the Highland Addition
Zoning: R2
Kevin Carter made a motion to approve the variance based on the request. Joe Frank Rodriguez
seconded and the motion carried unanimously.
