Homeowner, Jose Gallegos was present. Homeowner wanted to build an 21 x 20 carport. The City of Plainview received three letters from the neighbors in favor of the carport. It was determined that the construction of a carport at 413 W 22nd will not have a negative effect on other nearby properties in the neighborhood. Kevin Carter made a motion to approve the variance based on the request. Joe Rodriguez seconded and the motion carried unanimously. Adjournment — Meeting adjourned at 6:10 P.M. Mark Hardin called the meeting to order at 5:59 P. M. FIRST ITEM ON THE AGENDA: Oath of office - NA SECOND ITEM ON THE AGENDA: Approval of October 20, 2014 minutes. Kevin Carter made a motion to approve minutes as presented. Joe Frank Rodriguez seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. THIRD ITEM ON THE AGENDA: BA Case # 1641: Consider the request of a special exception of the minimum front set back authorizing the construction of a Carport under the City of Plainview Zoning Ordinance Section 37.2.2(H) Special Exceptions. Homeowner wanted to build a 20 x 20 carport. Homeowners were present at the meeting. It was determined that a construction of a carport at 208 S E 4th will not have a negative effect on other nearby properties in the neighborhood.
