RESOLUTION R15-340
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLAINVIEW,
TEXAS AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO DESIGNATE MANAGING
PERSONNEL TO SIGN ALL DOCUMENTS REQUIRED BY THE
CONSENT DECREE EFFECTIVE DECEMBER 21, 2004.
WHEREAS, the City of Plainview executed a Consent Decree with the United
States of America regarding the Wastewater Treatment Plant, (referred to as Plainview
publicly owned treatment works (POTW), effective December 21, 2004; and
WHEREAS, such Consent Decree required Quarterly and Annual Reports of
monthly Discharge Monitoring Reports (DMR's) signed; and
WHEREAS, such Reports were signed by Management of the Public Works
Department; and
WHEREAS, the United States of America requested the authorization of such
Management of Public Works to sign such documents; and
WHEREAS, the City Council designates the Mayor as the City's authorized official
to sign any and all documents executing the Reports required by the United States of
America; and
WHEREAS, the Council authorizes Mayor to further designate such members of
Management for Public Works as designated below.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF PLAINVIEW THAT:
The City Council designates the Mayor as the City's authorized official to sign any
and all documents relating to the Consent Decree's required Quarterly and Annual
Reports including DMR's. Further, the Council authorizes the Mayor to further designate
the following Management of Public Works to sign any and all documents related to the
Consent Decree:
(1) Superintendent of the Wastewater Treatment Plant;
(2) Public Works Director; and
(3) City Manager.
