UNGER MEMORIAL LIBRARY ADVISORY COMMITTEE
November 6, 1978
The regular meeting of the Unger Memorial Library Advisory Com-
mittee was called to order by Mrs. Merwyn Igo, President, at 7:05
P.M. Monday, November 6, 1978, in the Librarian's Office. Present
were Ruby Curry, David Willson, Norman Huggins, Lloyd Woods, and
Judy Smith, Librarian.
The minutes of the October 9, 1978, meeting were approved as pre-
sented. The Librarian's Report for October was presented.
Mrs. Igo read a letter approved by the Committee in October re-
questing that the City Council take appropriate action to allow
the City Attorney to prosecute patrons with long over -due materials.
The letter will be forwarded to the Council immediately.
Mrs. Curry moved and Mr. Willson seconded that the minimum fine be
raised to 25* per day. Motion passed. The fine increase will go
into effect December 1.
Miss Smith read a letter from Mrs. Marshall Formby requesting
permission to have a copy made of a diploma issued to Charles Travis,
son of William B. Travis, by Baylor University in the 1840's. The
copy is to be placed at Baylor. The diploma was a part of the
Annie Maud Settoon Estate. The Committee agreed that Mrs. Formby
might have the copy made in Amarillo provided that she clear her
library record and that Miss Smith accompany her to Amarillo.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:45 P.M.
