ADVISORY COMMITTEE
September 13, 1976
The regular meeting of the Unger Memorial Library Advisory Committee
was called to order by Mrs. Merwin Igo, President, at 7:20 p.m.
Monday, September 13, 1976, in the Librarian's office. Present were
Ruby J Curry, Susan LaFont, and Judy Smith, Librarian.
The minutes of the meeting of August 2, 1976, were approved as cor-
rected. The Librarian's Report for August was presented.
Mrs. Igo read a letter concerning the Running Water Draw Arts and
Crafts Festival. She reported that Suzanne Stovall will serve as
chairman of the Friends of the Library Book Sale which will be held
at the Festival, October 15417.
Miss Smith read:a letter from Jeanne Allen, Librarian,. Hale Center
Public Library, in which she evaluated the Summer Program. A copy
of this letter will be sent to the Hale County Commissioners.
Miss Smith announced that Unger Memorial Library has again been
accepted for membership as an Area Library in the Lubbock Area Lig,--
bar System. She announced that the Lubbock Area Library System
is now the West Texas Library System.
Mrs. Curry and Mrs. LaFont reported on their meeting with the Bale
County Commissioners on August 23, 1976, at which Mrs. Eddy Curry,
Summer Outreach Program Librarian, reported on the Summer Program.
Mrs. :Curry and Mrs. LaFont reported that the Hale County Commissioners
had approved an appropriation of 31,845.00 to fund the Summer Program
for 1977.
Miss Smith reported that sine the August meeting the Conference
Room had been painted, the north window caulked, and the north door
readjusted. She will present a list of repairs still needing
attention to Harold Oladman.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:10 p.m.
