UNGER MEMORIAL LIBRARY ADVISORY COMMITTEE The regular meeting of the Unger Memorial Library Advisory Committee was called to order Monday, March 1, 1976, at 7:00 p.m., in the Library Conference Room by Mrs. Merwyn Igo, President. Present were Ruby Curry, Susan LaFont, Malcolm Tisdel, David Willson and Judy Smith, Librarian. The minutes of the February 2, 1976, meeting were approved as presented. The Librarian's report for February was presented. The Committee discussed plan for National Library Week, April 4 - 10. It was decided to display some of the Library's newer framed art reproduction with signs stating that they are available for circulation. Miss Smith will check with Harold Gladman about displaying wood planes and Roger Smith about displaying barbed wire. Films will be shown at 7:30 p.m., Monday and Thursday nights and at 10 a.m., Saturday morning. Laurel and Hardy films will be shown Monday; a Rudolph Valen- tino movie, Thursday; and, children's films on Saturday. Mrs. LaFont will ar- range for popcorn for the film showings. Miss Smith will arrange for publicity for National Library Week. The Committee began discussion of the Library's budget request for fiscal year 1976-77. Miss Smith presented copies of the current budget and expenditures through January 31, 1976, and a copy of the budget request for fiscal year 1975-76. In consideration of anticipated fiscal difficulties, the Committee decided not to request more than was requested for fiscal year 1975-76, except in those cases in which inflation will make increased requests mandatory to retain current levels of service. Miss Smith will prepare a working draft for the April meeting. The meeting was adjourned at 8:20 p.m., there being no further business. JUD SM H, Secretary Unger -morial Library Advisory Committee
