Unger Memorial Library Advisory Committee
February 2, 1976
The regular meeting of the Unger Memorial Library Advisory Committee
was called to order at 7:20 p. m., Monday, February 2, 1976, by
Mrs. Merwyn Igo, President.
The minutes of the January 5, 1976, meeting were approved as presented.
The Librarian's report for January was presented. Miss Smith presented
the annual report submitted to the Texas State Library.
The Committee discussed plans for National Library Week in early April.
It was decided to have film showings on Monday, Thursday, and Saturday.
The Monday evening showing will be old-time comedies; Thursday,
Valentino movies such as Son of the Shiek, The Eagle, or Blood and
Sand; and Saturday morning, children's films. The Committee will
investigate the possibility of serving pop corn at the film showings.
The Committee also discussed the possibility of displaying arts and
crafts during NLW.
There being no further business to come before the Committee, the
meeting was adjourned at 8:30 p. m. Present were: Susan LaFont,
Ruby Curry, and Judy Smith.
