• Most recent Newsletter
• Updating AR book lists to coordinate with local schools' test lists with the
assistance of $200 software purchased from Renaissance Learning. These
books will contain a label providing AR information such as the Reading
Level and Test Point Value. Sharon Morgan volunteered to help with the
coordination of these lists.
• Blood Drive, Friday, May 22.
• Continuing updates on Cemetery Records with the help of volunteers Maisie
Jones and Barbara Almon
• Starting of Summer Hours on Tuesday, May 26`h , after Memorial Day
Terry Noblett, co -President of the Friends of UML, and John Sigwald gave a report about
the Annual Book Sale in March.
John told the Board that in 2010 the Library will be celebrating its 50`h anniversary and
he had some projects in mind for which he will be requesting funds on the new fiscal
budget. (See attached sheet.) Terry Noblett stated she had noticed the poor paint
condition on the northeast exterior windows and hoped this could be fixed.
John Sigwald reported that the Library had added two information accessible computers
for patrons to use. The first one is to be used for locating and/or printing IRS forms that
are not generally available from our public IRS Forms case. The second is a lone
computer with the new Windows 7 that is available for only a 15 -minute time slot. It
does require the patron to remain standing and a timer is set at the front desk when the
patron begins. This computer is available for those patrons who enter the library and just
need to look up or print something which will require only a short time span.
The next Board meeting was set tentatively for the second Tuesday in October.
Dismissal was at 4:45.
