Meeting called to order by Ricky Mason
First Item on the Agenda: Approval of February 2003 minutes — David Julian made
motion to approve the minutes as read. Tilman Reagan seconded the motion. Motion
carried 5 -0.
Second Item on the Agenda: Discussion of State Requirement for Contractor
Registration. Greg Zielinski stated that this registration is a new State Law that was
implemented to provide a means of remediation between a builder and a homeowner. The
City of Plainview Building Department has no control over this law. It is state mandated
and this is only an informational meeting to alert building contractors of the new state
law requiring them to register. The Board, Staff, and guests discussed the registration. It
was reiterated that this is a state requirement and the registration is with the state and not
with the City of Plainview.
Third Item on the Agenda: Adjournment. Tilman Reagan made motion to adjourn.
David Julian seconded. Motion carried 5 -0.
