BOARD MEMBERS PRESENT: Ricky Mason, Roger Dowdy, David Julian, Tilman
Reagan, Lynn Davis, Rosendo Cantu
STAFF MEMBERS PRESENT: Delwin Derrick -Chief Building Inspector, John
Castro - Community Services Director and Katy Seals- Secretary
GUESTS PRESENT: Denys Sanders, Ronald Wright, Larry Williams, Angel Ramos
Meeting called to order by chairman Ricky Mason at 7:02 PM
Members Lynn Davis and Rosendo Cantu sworn in.
First Item on the Agenda: Approval of May 20, 2004 minutes. Lynn Davis made
motion to approve the minutes as read. Tilman Reagan seconded the motion. Motion
carried 6 -0.
Second Item on the Agenda: Review requirements on water softener installation.
Delwin Derrick told the Board this is already in the ordinance but it hasn't been enforced.
He told the Board enforcement will begin April 1, 2007. Ricky Mason suggested staff
submit an article about this to the newspaper. There was no input from the audience.
Third Item on the Agenda: Review codes. The Board will begin process of adopting
new codes in future meetings. Staff will make comparisons of old to new codes to
present to the Board in future meetings. The Board suggested we begin with the
plumbing code.
Fourth Item on the Agenda: Discuss state license requirements. Delwin Derrick told
the Board Certificates of Insurance need to be on file in order to pull permits.
Fifth Item on the Agenda: Adjournment. Meeting adjourned.
