HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrd 74-1711ORDINANCE NO. 74- 1711 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PLAINVIEW, TEXAS, PROVIDING PERMISSIBLE RATES TO BE CHARGED BY TELESERVICE CORPORATION OF A.WFJ~IC~A THE OWNER AND HOLDER OF FRANCHISE AS PROVIDED IN ORDINA~NCE NO. 795 OF THE CITY OF PLAIN-VIEW AS SUBSEQUENTLY AMENDED BY ORDINANCE NO. 64-814 AND ORDINANCE NO. 64-833. WHEREAS, the Ordinance granting the permit and franchise under which the Teleservice Corporation of America is operating a Cable Television System in the City of Plainview, provides that the City Council of the City of Plainview reserves the right to fix the rates that can be charged for cable television service; and, WHEREAS, after due consideration the City Council of the City of Plainview finds that the rates hereinafter fixed in this Ordinance will yield a fair return to the holder of said franchise for the services to be rendered; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLAINVIEW: Section 1. The owner and holder of the contract and franchise as fixed by Ordinance No. 795 as subsequently amended may charge for the services, rates as follows: (1) A rate not to exceed $6.50 per month for residential subscribers for one single outlet. (2) A rate not to exceed $t.00 per month for each additional outlet used by the~s~bscri>ers. * Section 2. In all other respects, the rates and charges 'that may be fixed and charged by the holder of said franchise shall be as provided by said Ordinance No. 795 as subsequently amended by Ordinance No. 64-814 and Ordinance No. 64-833.
