BUDGET AMENDMENT (Wastewater Treatment Plant - Belt Press Lease)
ORDINANCE NO. 01-3284
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PLAINVIEW AMENDING
ORDINANCE NO. 00-3267 TO APPROPRIATE FUNDS IN THE
WATER AND SEWER FUND IN THE 2000 - 2001 BUDGET FOR
LEASING OF A BELT PRESS FOR THE WASTEWATER TREAT-
MEN'T PLANT; CUMULATIVENESS CLAUSE; CONFLICTS
CLAUSE; SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; AND EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, on September 12, 2001, through the adpption of Ordinance No. 00-
3267, the Plainview City Council approved the 2000 2001 Budget; and
WHEREAS, the Budget is a general guideline for revenue and expenditures and
may require periodic amendments; and
WHEREAS, the Plainview City Council has determined a need to increase budget
funds for maintenance of machinery in the Wastewater Treatment Department;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF PLAINVIEW HEREBY ORDAINS that
the 2000 - 2001 Budget is amended to appropriate $55,000.00 in the Utility Fund for
rental of equipment.

Section II
Provisions of this Ordinance are cumulative, and nothing herein shall prevent, alter, or
diminish the applicability or enforcement of other Ordinances restricting, regulating, or
governing the subject matter herein.
Section III
If any section, subsection, sentence, clause, phrase, or portion of this Ordinance is for any
reason held invalid or unconstitutional by any court of competent jurisdiction, such

portion shall be deemed a separate, distinct, and independent provision, and such holding
shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions hereof.
Section IV
All Ordinances or portions of any Ordinance of the City of Plalnview, Texas, in conflict
herewith are hereby amended to conform with the provision hereof.
Section V
This Ordinance shall be of full force and effect upon its passage.
