ion with the application which is herein authorized to be filed.

Alderman, Eiker introduced and moved the adoption of the
following, resolution:
WHEREAS, the City of Plainview, Texas, has determined to
file an application with the 2ederal Emergency Administration
of P~blic Nerk~ for and grant to build and equip a City Hall,
Fire Station and Zibrary Building; and
WHEREAS,. 0~ R, ~alker is a qualified and suitable architect
and competent to do the architectur~l wor~ in connection with
sai~ p~oject:
NOW, T~RE~0RE, BE IT RESOZVED that the said 0, E. ~alker
be and he is hereby authorized and direbted by the 0ity Council
to prepare preliminary sketches, plans and specifications necess-
ary to accompany said application, and if said application is
gr~nted that he will be designated-and appointed as the archi-
tect to handle said work; but it is understood and agreed that
the City of Plainview shall nbt be under any obligation to pay
the said 0~ R. ~alker any sum of money for the s~id prelimi~.~
sketches, plans and specifications unless and 'un~til the said ap-
