~REAS, on the 5th day of September, 19~8, the City Council
adopted an0o~dinance calling and ordering an election to be held
in the Oity of .~lainview, Texas, on the 22nd day of September,
1938, and mupon said ballot the following two questions appeared:

WHEREAS, there were cast at said ~lection 672 votes. There

the, total of 521 votes; and
','E~iERE~.S, it appears from said election that a majority of
votes were cast on the question against the issm~nce'O'ff said bonds.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY O0UNCI~ dip THE CiTY 0P PL&Ii{VIEW, TEXAS:
~, That said election,s:was duly called; that notice was given
in accordaace with law and in accordance with said ordinance calling
the election: that the election was held in accordance with law; that
due return of said election has been made by the proper officers;
that said election has resulted unfavorably to the issuance of said
bonds and that said question lost.
