RESOLUTION NO. R99-106
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF PLAINVIEW, HALE COUNTY, TEXAS TO
AFFIRM TO THE SOUTH PLAINS ASSOCIATION OF GOVERNMENTS AND
THE TEXAS NATURAL RESOURCE CONSERVATION COMMISSION OUR
SUPPORT OF THE PROGRAMS IDENTIFIED IN THIS PROPOSAL FOR THE
FUNDING OF A SOLID WASTE REDUCTION GRANT.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Plainview, being concerned for the environment in and
around Plainview, believes it necessary to promote waste reduction in this region.
WHEREAS, the City of Plainview will comply with the provisions of the fiscal reimbursement and
reporting requirements of the South Plains Association of Governments, Texas Natural Resource
Conservation Commission, and the State of Texas; and
WHEREAS, Grant funds awarded in response to their proposal will be used only for the purpose(s)
for which they are provided; and
WHEREAS, the proposed project is in compliance with and supports any adopted regional or local
solid waste management plan applicable to the geographical are covered by the project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Plainview, Texas, that
the Mayor affirms to the South Plains Association of Governments and the Texas Natural Resource
Conservation Commission support of the program(s) identified in the proposal.
PASSED AND APPROVED on this 7th day of October, 1999.
