ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 80-.2386 FIXING THE FEES
FOR LICENSES FOR DOGS AND CATS AND ~THORIZING VETERINARIANS
TO ISSUE CITY LICENSE TAGS FOR DOGS AND CATS.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Plainview, Texas,
has determined that it would be in the best interest of the
public to authorize veterinarians to issue city license tag~-for
dog's and cats; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Plainview, Texas,
has determined that the fee for issuance of said city license
tags for dogs and cats should be increased from $2.00 to $3.00.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF PLAINVIEW, TEXAS:
Section 3 of Ordinance 80-2386 shall be, and the same is
hereby amended as follows:
SECTION: LICENSES, FEES AND DURATION. Duly licensed
veterinarians are hereby authorized to issue city license tags
for dogs and cats. There is hereby fixed and assessed as a
police regulation for the protection of the public health a
license fee of $3.00 per annum against the owner or keeper of
each and every dog or cat kept in the City. The license shall
run from January 1st to December 31st of each year, and any
part of such year shall be deemed and considered the entire year.

1980.
PASSED AND APPROVED ON SECOND AND FINAL READING this the
