ORDINANCE NO.81-2470
AN QRDiN~CE PROHIB.tTING THE PARKING, STOPPING, OR STANDING OF ANY MOTOR VEHICLE
ON A PORTION OF JOEl!ET STREET IN THE CITY.OF PLAINVIEW, TEXAS: PROVIDING FOR
A PENALTY.
NHEREAS, the City CoUncil of the City of Plai'n¥iew, Texas, has determined
that it would be in the best interest of the public that parking-, stopping, or
standing of motor vehicles of any kind be prohib, ited on the following portion
of Joliet ' Street, to-wit: '
On. the west side of Joliet Street beginning at theSouth curbline
of the intersection of W. 24th Street, and Joliet Street,'South
along the West Side of Joliet Street for a distance of 100'
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL~OF THE CITY OF PLAINVIEW,
-TEXAS:
SECTION l: Parking, Stopping~ or standing of'any kind of a motor vehicle on
~e, Nes~' Side of Joliet Street beginni~ng at the South curbline
of the intersection of W. 24th Street, and Joliet Street, South
along the West side of Joliet Street for a distance of 100' is prohibited.
ECTION 2: All ordinances or part of any ordinance of the City of Plainview,
Tex-~s', in conflict herewith are hereby amended to confo'rm with the provisions
hereof.
SECTION 3: Any person who shall violate or fail to comply with any of the
provisions of this ordinance shall be deemed quilty of a misdemeanor and
upon conviction shall be' punished by a fine in the sum of not less than
$1.00 nor more than'$200,O0.
