HomeMy WebLinkAbout85-2589 ord~,r,y ,, ORDINANCE N0. 85-2589 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE N0. 82-2478 AND THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF PLAINVIEW SO AS TO MAKE THE FOLLOWING CHANGES: ZONE CASE N0. 505 Request of Roland McCutcheon, Jr. for rezoning a 6.279 acre tract from an R-2 (Single-Family Residential) Zoning District to an MF-2 (Multiple- Family) Zoning D istrict, and described as follows: (EAST PORTION BETWEEN ASH STREET AND BEECH STREET) Being a 6.279-acre tract out of the east part of a tract conveyed to Robert L. Sneed and John Sneed, Jr. in Volume 715, page 305 of the Hale County Deed Records, being out of the John Kiser Homestead Survey, Plainview, Hale County, Texas:. -BEGINNING at the southeast corner of a tract conveyed to Robert L. -Sneed and John Sneed, Jr, in Volume 715, page 305 of the Hale County Deed Records, being out of the John Kiser Homestead Survey, Plainview, Hale County, Texas, said southeast corner being in the north line of an alley 20 feet North and. 39 feet West of the northeast corner of Lot 11, Block 17, Revised Wye Addition, Unit No. 4 as recorded in Volume 192, page 531 of the Hale County. Deed Records; Thence North 562.8 feet to the northeast corner of said Sneed tract, said corner being in the loath line of Carver Heights Addition, plat re- corded in Volume 295, page. 419 of the Hale County Deed records and in the south line of Givens Street; Thence West 486 feet along the north line of said tract to a point in the projection of the centerline of Ash Street; Thence South 562.8 feet along the projection of the centerline of said street to a point in the south line of said tract and the north line of said Wye Addition, Thence East 486 feet along the south line of said tract to the POINT OF BEGINNTNG and containing 6.279 acres, and located in the 200 Block of East Givens Street. CITY OF PLAINVIEW, HALE COUNTY, TEXAS, FROM R-2 family residential to a CRD Commercial retail ZONING DISTRICT. Ordinance and the Zoning Map be amended in the manner hereinafter set forth in the body of this Ordinance; NOW, THEREFORE;. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLAINViEW: SECTION 1. That Ordinance No. 82-2478 and the Official Zoning Map be and the same are hereby amended as follows, to-wit: ZONE CASE N0. 505 200 block of Givens street from R-2 Single family Residential to CRD Commercial Retail District. City of Plainview, Hale County, Texas, from an R-2 (Single Family Residential to a CRD Commercial Retail Zoning District. From the date of this Ordinance, said lot, tract and parcel of land described shall be and hereby be changed to the Zoning District indicated and the official Map is amended in accordance herewith. SECTION 2. Upon passage of .this Ordinance on first reading, the City Secretary be and is hereby authorized and directed to cause to have published in the Plainview Daily Herald, a daily newspaper of general circulation in the City of Plainview, Texas, a notice that a public hearing shall be held in the Council Chamber of the City Hall- in Plainview, Texas, at 7:00 o'clock P. M., on the 23 day of April, 1985, to permit the public to be heard .prior to consideration of this Ordinance for second and final reading, said publication to be made more than fifteen (15) days prior to the time designated for such public hearing. PASSED on first reading this, the 9th day of April 1985. A notice of time and place where and when said Ordinance would be given a public hearing and considered for final passage was published in the Plainview Daily Herald, a daily newspaper of general circulation in the City of Plainview,-Texas, said publication being on the- day of , 1985, the same being more than fifteen (15) days prior to the time designated for said hearing. After such opportunity for the public to be heard, said Ordinance was passed on second and final reading. PASSED on second and final reading this, the 23rd day of April 1985. p ~~ E. V.
