Douglass on behalf of Louisiana PJursing Homes, Inc. for rezoning a 0.257 acre tract of land from an R-1 (Single-Family Residential) Loning District to an P~1F-1 (Glultiple-Family Residential) Zoning District, being described as follows: Being a 0.257 acre tract (11,200 square feet)out of the northeast quarter of Survey No. 28, Block JK-2, Hale County, Texas: BEGINiVING at an interior corner of Revised Grandview Addition as recorded in Volume 462, page 297 of the Hale County Deed Records, said corner Being in the south right of way line of Grandview Drive, 20 feet N.70 09'W. of the northwest corner of .Lot 18 of said addition, and also 708.3 feet North and 1£331.56 feet West of the southeast corner. of the northeast quarter of Survey ;Jo. 28, 61ock JK-2, Hale County, Texas; Thence S.19°51'IrJ. 140 feet along a west line of an alley and said addition to a corner of said addition; Thence N.70°09'W. 30 feet to.a point; Thence N.19°51'E. 140 feet to a point in the south right of way line of said drive; ` Thence S.70 09'E. 80 .feet along said right of way line to the POIfVT OF BEGINNING and containing 0.257 acres. For residential uses and located at 3615 - 3619 Grandview Drive. CITY OF PLAINVIEW, HALE COUP4TY, TEXAS, FROF1 R-1 (Single-Family Residential) Zoning District TO A P~1F-1 (~1ultiple-Family. Residential) ZONIPJG DISTRICT. WHEREAS, the proposed change in Zoning Districts as hereinafter made has been duly presented to the Planning and Zoning Commission for its recommenda- tion which was received by the City Council, and after due consideration, the City Council of the City of Plainview finds that for the orderly growth of the City making-the proposed change as hereinafter set out will be in the public interest which creates an emergency; and, .WHEREAS, all conditions precedent required by law for a valid amendment to the Zoning Ordinance and P~lap, have been fully complied with, as well as giving notices provided by .Article 1011E Vernon`s Annotated Civil Statutes-Amended, 1953, and notice was duly published in the Plainview Daily Herald more-than fifteen (15) days prior to the-date of the Public Hearing according to said notice was.~duly held in the City Council Room of the City Hall, Plainview, Texas, at which time persons appeared in support of the proposal; and after said hearing, it was by the City Council determined that it would be in the public interest due to changed conditions, that the Zoning 4rdinai~ce and the Zoning'tlap be amended in the manner hey^einafter set forth in the body of this Ordinance; PJOW THEREFORE: ~; ~ • BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY. COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLAINVIEW: SECTION 1. From the date of this Ordinance, said lot, tractJ', and parcel of land described sha11-be and hereby be'~~changed to the Zoning District indicated and the official P~1ap is amendled in accordance herewith. SECTIOfd 2. Upon passage of this. Ordinance on fi'~rst reading, the City Secretary be and is hereby authorized and direc ed to cause to have published in the Plainview Daily Herald,. a dai13~ newspaper of general circulation in the City of Plainview, Texas, a notice that a public ,~ hearing shall be held in the Council Chamber of Ithe City Ha11 in Plain_v-iew, Texas, at o'clock P.~~I., on the day of 'i 19 to permit .the public to"be heard pri®r to consideration o this Ordinance-for second .and final reading, said publication 'to be made r~ore than fifteen (15) days .prior to the time designated for such public hearing.
