ORDINANCE NO. 85-2616
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PLAINVIEVd, TEXAS AN~]DING SECTION
5-3 OF THE PLAINV"IE6e1 CITY CODE ESTABLISHING RATES FOR AMBULANCE
SERVICE AND DECLARING AN E[~RGENCY.
WHEREAS, the holder of a franchise granted for the purpose of
operating ambulances in the City may charge not to exceed rates as
follows:
A) base Rate $85.00
B) Mileage, from station
to patient point of
destination return 2.50 per mile
trip (patient mile) .50
C) Eh~ergency Run (Code 3) 20.00
D) F~nergency Run. (Code 3-Code 1) 10.00
E) Night Call (6 P.M. - 8 A.M.) 20.00
F) Wigan 20.00
G) Additional Attendant 20.00
H) Waiting Time 20.00 per ?hour
(No charge first 30 minutes)
I) Rate for second patient when
both fran same household 50.00
J) Call-medical attention only,
no transport 50.00
K) Med-Care Membership
Single 40.00
Family 60.00
L} All medical supplies, not covered by the rates listed above
shall be charged at the standard retail price.
The need to establish these rates for ambulance service creates an
emergency and it is an imperative public necessity that more than one
reading hereof be, and the same is hereby suspended: This ordinance
shall be pa.ssP.,d and take effect as an emergency measure and shall be in
full force and effect from and after its passage as provided by law and
it is so ordered.
