ORDINANCE NO. 86-2678
An Ordinance prescribing the Speed Limit on that Portion of
Industrial. Boulevard. that lies within. the City Limits of the City of
Plainview; and providing a penalty.
Whereas, after an engineering and traffic investigation, the City
Council of the City of Plainview, Texas has determined that it would
be''~,n the best interest of the public to provide a maximum speed
lit~it of 55 miles per hour on that portion of .Industrial Boulevard
that lies within the City Limits of the City of Plainview.
Section 1: It shall be unlawful fcsr any person to operate any
automabile, motorcycle, motor scooter, or any type of motor vehicle
which is self-propelled at a speed greater than 55 miles per hour on
Inc~.ustral Boulevard in the City of Plainview, Texas..
Section 2: All Ordinances or part of any Ordinance of the City of
Plainview,-Texas in conf lict with the. provisions of this Ordinance
ar~ hereby repealed..
Section 3: Any person who shall violate or fail to comply with any
af, the provisions of this Ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a
mst3.emeanor and upon conviction shall be punished. by a fine in the
am~-unt of .not less than One Dollar ($1.00) nor more than Two Hundred
Dollars ($200.00},
