ADVISORY COUNCIL MEETING

*The meeting was called to order by President Gary Stennett. Joe Provence gave the
invocation.
*Special guests were Ruth and Ray Naron. Ruth is the Volunteer of the Month.
* Minutes of the June 13th meeting were approved;
*Irma gave the financial report for May.
*Volunteers will be going to the prison for "My Dad Reads to Me" on July IS 1h
*The July Birthday Recognition will be July 12th at McDonald's.
*lima reported that grant reports are due at the end... of the month.
*Irma reported that the CNCS Office of Research and Evaluation has selected us to
participate in a pilot test of an organizational capacity assessment tool.
*The community gardens are doing well. J & J Nursery has donated 13 crates of plants.
*Project Serve is scheduled for July 29P. RSVP will be cleaning the Hike and Bike Trail.
*Plainview Lions Club has donated $344 to RSVP;
*Ideas for a raffle were discussed.
*Ideas for 44e Annual RSVP Banquet were discussed.
*The next meeting will be August 8a'.
*Twyla reported a total of 337 volunteers with 207 serving 5204 hours.
*Meeting was adjourned.
