AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PLAINVlEW
AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 00-3267 TO APPROPRIATE
FUNDS IN THE GENERAL FUND IN THE 2000 - 2001
BUDGET FOR FA(~ADE IMPROVEMENT GRANTS IN THE
NATIONAL REGISTER DISTRICT OF DOWNTOWN
PLAINVlEW; CUMULATIVENESS CLAUSE; CONFLICTS
CLAUSE; SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; AND EFFECTIVE
DATE
WHEREAS, on September 12, 2000, through the adoption of Ordinance
No. 00-3267, the Plainview City Council approved the 2000 - 2001 Budget; and
WHEREAS, the Budget is a general guideline for revenue and
expenditures and may require periodic amendments; and
WHEREAS, the Plainview City Council has determined a need to increase
budget funds in order to accept $4,000 in pledged donations for fa~;ade
improvement grants in the National Register District;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF PLAINVIEW HEREBY ORDAINS that
the 2000 - 2001 Budget is amended to appropriate $4,000.00 in the General
Fund for fa~;ade improvement grants.

Section II
Provisions of this Ordinance are cumulative, and nothing herein shall prevent,
alter, or diminish the applicability or enforcement of other Ordinances restricting,
regulating, or governing the subject matter herein.

Section III
If any section, subsection, sentence, clause, phrase, or portion of this Ordinance
is for any reason held invalid or unconstitutional by any coud of competent
jurisdiction, such portion shall be deemed a separate, distinct, and independent
provision, and such holding shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions
hereof.
Section IV
All Ordinances or portions of any Ordinance of the City of Plainview, Texas, in
conflict herewith are hereby amended to conform with the provision hereof.
Section V
This Ordinance shall be of full force and effect upon its passage.
