Main Street Board Meeting
Minutes
01-07-2019
The Main Street Coordinating Board met on Monday, January 7th, 2019 at noon in the Fair Theater.
Members attending the meeting Andrea Glenn, Ranada Jack, Tori Huddleston, John Turpen, Jay Givens, Kelly
Alison, Phyllis Wall, Melinda Brown, Cynthia Gregory and Tonya Keesee
CALL TO ORDER:
Ranada called the meeting to order at 12:08 P.M.
APPROVE MINUTES:
Andrea moved to accept last minutes, Tonya seconded, and the motion carried.
OWNER RELATIONSHIP PROJECT ASSIGNMENT UPDATES:
Ranada passed out the letter Kelly had sent out to her assigned properties in 2018
Kelly mentioned the Salvation Army property on Ash being put up for sale for $43,000

Phyllis did a report on the 2 Saturday events including the introduction of the Street Scape to the

public and Kelly mentioned that CAMP was seeking CFWTX funds for the museums 2 Saturday
evening events.
DESIGN:
Façade Grant Update:
1. Ranada ask that any additions or takeaways from the application be made by Friday.
ORGANIZATION:
Melinda reported that Dora, John and Ranada reapplied for Main Street board and mentioned that
one spot was still open.
ECONOMIC RESTURCTURING:
No report
COMMUNITY SURVEYS:
Melinda mentioned some demographics in a Texas Main Street study that suggested Plainview needs
an experience, for example,
meetings.
John said he could pass out surveys at his business.
Jay suggested putting them in the programs at church services
Ranada adjourned the meeting 12:57
