ADVISORY COUNCIL MEETING
SEPTEMBER 10, 2019

*The meeting was called to order by President Gary Stennett. Tara Walker gave the
prayer.
* Minutes of the August meeting were approved.
* Volunteer of the Month is Pearl Acker.
*Irma gave the financial report for July.
*"My Dad Reads to Me" has recorded 6 dads reading to 11 children with 22 books
shipped.
*The September Birthday Recognition will be September 1 Ith at McDonald's. Littlefield
will have their Birthday Recognition on September 20th.
*Lunch Bunch met on August 29`' at Mia's for a program by Gayle Willson from Grand
Hearing Center.
*RSVP plans to honor first responders on September l I1h for Patriots Day. They will
receive thank you notes and cross/flag pins along with cookies.
*The 46`h Annual Volunteer Banquet is set for October I" at 6:00 PM in the St. Alice
Parish Hall. The theme will be "Volunteers Make Magic". Weekends BBQ is catering
the meal. Bill Coleman and Kevin Sweeney will be the entertainment.
*The next meeting will be September I0`h
*The golf tournament has about $350 outstanding.
*Irma reported that she is updating the office computer equipment.
*Lisa reported a total of 360 volunteers with 258 serving 6455 hours in July.
* Ballots for Volunteer of the Year were distributed.
*Next meeting will be October 8, 2019.
*Meeting was adjourned.
